TELECOMMUTE                           LOCATION: Remote, Work from home

Automotus is a fast-growing technology startup working to make city streets safer, faster, and more efficient––starting at the curb. We’re using computer vision (CV) deployed at the edge to build the first fully-automated platform for cities to understand and manage curbside activity, which means everything from pedestrian traffic to ride hailing trips to food delivery.

The success of Automotus depends on our ability to deliver insights and operational automations to our clients from the data we generate using our CV processors at the edge. As senior full-stack engineer, you will be a key contributor not only in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the cloud architecture at the core of our tech stack, but also in the development and evolution of world-class user interfaces to give our customers the power to proactively manage their curbs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Architect and implement web and mobile applications
  • Develop, deploy, and manage scalable back-end services to process, store, and act on data from devices at the edge
  • Build and deploy APIs to facilitate integrations with technology partners
  • Establish and maintain internal development processes to make sure our team continues to execute effectively as we grow.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with React/React Native
  • Experience working with Typescript and/or Go
  • Experience working within the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience working on an IoT project
  • Strong bash scripting skills
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, specifically Postgres
  • Experience working with geospatial datasets
  • Experience working with time series data.
