They have a requirement for a Data Engineer to work remotely. This is a long-term contract role.
Responsibilities:
- The Data Engineer is responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable solutions for collecting, analyzing large data sets, creating and maintaining data pipelines, data structures, and reports.
- Understand business processes, applications, and how data is gathered, and tie application telemetry to the transactional data model.
- Design, build, and manage data marts to satisfy our growing data needs.
- Develop and manage data pipelines at enterprise scale
Requirements:
- 2+ years of SQL coding experience is required. The no-SQL experience will be a plus
- Experience in BI tools will be a big plus (Power BI or Tableau)
- Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling will be plus but not required
- Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies.
- +3- or -3-hour time zone within Pacific Time is preferred
- The candidate needs to be a quick learner and ready to face challenges.
