The User Experience Researcher is a member of the larger Product Design team who will work closely with product managers, product designers and other research organizations within the company.

Responsibilities and Duties - Demonstrated ability to identify, map and scope tracks of user research against business and product priorities.
- Demonstrable experience with generative and evaluative user research (moderated & unmoderated + in person & remote).
- Ability to work on multiple projects running concurrently.
- Ability to partner with other insights and data teams to contextualize and integrate learnings across the board.
- Inspire and mentor colleagues interested in research as a skill and practice.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate qualitative data into actionable UX strategy and goals.
- A background in both quantitative and qualitative research.
- Trusted collaborator and partner who is able to influence, negotiate, and give/receive feedback effectively.
- Demonstrated experience managing user experience researchers.

Responsibilities:
Work with teams to identify, plan and conduct studies that will drive to world class design solutions. Methods may include generative research, usability studies, card sorting, field studies, cognitive walkthroughs, contextual inquiry, participatory design and other activities selected to meet specific research goals.
Activities to achieve these goals may include:
- Research Roadmap Planning
- Informed by in-house and external data, identify, map and scope tracks of user research against business and product priorities.
- Ensure a clear understanding of the goals and objectives for research projects.
- Map project goals and objectives to expected output.
- Research Implementation
- Prepare project plans, study plans, moderator’s guides and other artifacts related to designing and conducting studies.
- Cultivate and model a culture of inclusivity and collaboration with stakeholders from project start to finish.
- Data analysis & Reporting
- Create compelling and narrative-driven research reports/presentations with teams and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Design team members to:
- Build internal body of knowledge.
- Implement research best practices.
- Develop and maintain internal awareness of user expectations.
- Mentor and provide methods for on-the-fly directional guidance.
Relevant Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the user experience or consumer research field where user research is a core activity.
- Demonstrated experience managing user experience researchers.
- Master’s degree in Human Factors, Experimental/Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field and/or commensurate experience.
- Skilled in:
- Creation and administration of the full suite of quant & qual generative – evaluative research studies including but not limited. to interviews, focus groups, card sorting, surveys, usability studies, co-discovery.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as usertesting.com and Optimal Workshop.
- Collection and crystallization of user attributes and needs.
- Applied knowledge of behavioral economics a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile environment a plus.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environment and responsibilities for multiple projects at any given time.
