About Bettworks
BetterWorks provides enterprise software to easily manage strategic plans, collaborative goals (OKR’s) and ongoing performance conversations. Betterworks software helps high-performing companies get aligned, and execute more effectively. We are currently scaling up the team and are looking for multiple engineers specializing in full-stack or back-end/front-end. We are a remote first company and looking for candidates in the United States.

As a Senior Engineer your job is to define and drive simple, extensible software and systems design, taking hard problems and finding efficient solutions for them.

• Leveraging Python (Django), Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and other data stores to build scalable, secure software. We are open to any engineers who feel comfortable switching stacks.

• Utilize AngularJS and Vue.js to build an exceptional user experience
  • Iterating with our interaction and visual designers to refine user experience
  • Profiling client side performance to identify and correct bottlenecks
  • Building out and iterating on the BetterWorks data model, including optimizing on the “right” data store.
  • Hack on a wide range of interesting technical and business projects
  • Investigating, prototyping and implementing new solutions to a wide array of complex system design challenges.
  

What’ll Help You Be Successful

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering

• Ability to work alongside a Product team to determine effective and time efficient solutions

• Ability to manage time efficiently and focus on clear goals

• Pragmatic approach towards tackling unforeseen challenges

• Experience with Django and Python or the ability to switch stacks with ease.

• Experience with Postgres, Redis or similar technologies

• Extensive experience with with Javascript frameworks like AngularJS, EmberJS, ReactJS, Vue
• Experience providing in depth code reviews
  • Infinite appetite for learning
• Experience with Scrum methodologies and remote teams is a plus!
