Project Overview Omni Interactions is looking for a content writer to join our fast-growing team!

As we experience significant growth, we are looking for a content writer to make our support content look and sound extraordinary. The end result? Amazing content that gives our team the answer they are looking for, at exactly the right time, in exactly the right way. You will join an outgoing and highly flexible team of talented individuals that thrive on improving knowledge and end-user efficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline and document process flows.
The person we're in search of is a skilled wordsmith that will develop process mapping, website help sections, how-to guides, journal articles, and other documents that break down technical and process information with ease and accuracy and the right visual appeal.
Your mission? To make processes easy to understand and a breeze to use. Look for ways to make your content better - keep raising the bar on improving our end-user experiences.
What You'll Do (Job Description):
- Craft simple, compelling support and learning articles to help our team members use and love our company and services
- Partner with multiple departments to make sure content is accurate, appropriate, and visually engaging
- Plans, develops, organizes, writes, and edits operational procedures, online help articles and learning content covering specific areas of our internal and external operations, tools, and platforms
- Create process maps, website help sections, how-to guides, journal articles, and more
- Take technical information and make it easily understood and visually appealing
- Identify and resolve problems with procedures, concepts, and presentation of materials
- Understand the end-users and adapt information into relevant use cases and examples that explain the WHY behind the WHAT
Job Requirements: What You'll Bring (Qualifications) - Outstanding writing, editing, formatting, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Solid organization skills with adherence to file structures, naming conventions, style guides and other established company protocols
- Excellent at self-management, meeting deadlines and balancing multiple projects
- Strong communication skills to explain complex and technical ideas between entry-level to executive, and technical and non-technical teams
- Proven experience designing and creating documentation, web-based help articles and how-to guides in clear and visually exciting formats
- Passion for providing an excellent user experience
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams and subject matter experts
- Ability to deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment and desire to resolve challenging problems
- A "how can we get this done" attitude

Extras (Preferred Qualifications) - Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent experience
- 1-3+ years' experience in technical writing, content strategy, knowledge management, internal communications, L&D, or a related position in a customer support environment
- 1+ years' experience with basic graphic design
- 3+ years' working knowledge in each of the following: Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
- Learning Content Creation/Authoring Tools and/or basic HTML is a plus
- Ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects while maintaining keen attention to detail
- Passionate about content development, story telling, and writing with a desire to improve end-user experiences every day
- Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO, is a plus
What We Bring (Compensation & Benefits) The anticipated starting hourly contract rate for this position is between $20-$22/hour. This position is contract, and work can be completed any time. We do ask you are available sometimes during the work day for meetings & progress updates. In turn, we will help you:
