Sr. Staff Accountant
We're looking for an extremely organized, self-motivated, and hard-working individual who genuinely loves working as part of a team. A typical day will include assisting with the management of daily operations and strategic objectives of the company's accounting team. You will work closely with the Controller, CFO and Senior Accounting and Finance staff, as well as many other personnel at the company to assure timely and accurate financial statements and reporting. This position will at times be required to interface with operational managers and executives and will report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly financial close processes ensuring accurate and timely results
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
- Provide the necessary analysis to explain budget and forecast variances
- Maintain ownership of part of the company's general ledger accounts and related accounting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations on various balance sheet accounts
- Assist in coordination and preparation for the annual audit with outside CPA firm
- Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ad hoc reporting or projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller
- Cross-train and backfill for other accounting team members

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Public Accounting experience and CPA required.
- 5+ years' experience dealing with general ledger accounting, revenue recognition and accounts receivable management, preferably in a large organization.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar ERP
- Experience with SEC Reporting, IPO's and/or Mergers preferred.
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-facing capabilities are important
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations and priorities
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimum supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
