Ollie is looking for a Product Design Lead to help build the leading consumer pet subscription business. We are looking for a dog-loving design expert, who seeks to own and evolve our customer experience across all our digital platforms. You will have professional experience designing effective and engaging digital experiences with the portfolio to back it up. You work well in teams and have a capacity for big picture thinking as well as  precision detailing. You and your team will be innovating in a $27 billion space while improving the lives of dogs everywhere.  

This role is based remotely within the U.S. and will report to the VP of Product & Design.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design process from from ideation, to wireframes, to user testing, and polished visual design
  • Take customer problems and user research insights to design simple, elegant and user-centric experiences
  • Rapidly iterate on prototypes and validate ideas with real customers 
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams with product, tech, marketing and other key-stakeholders
  • Hire, lead, and coach other designers that will join your team over time 
  • Maintain and evolve the Ollie Design System (Fetch) to ensure design standardization where it makes sense 
  • Create high-fidelity mockups/designs for responsive web experiences across desktop and mobile
  • Effectively communicate rationale and design decisions to internal and external team members
  • Set and measure quarterly OKRs to improve the product design practice at Ollie

Who you are

  • You have 7+ years of experience as a digital product designer, ideally having managed direct reports 
  • You have UI/UX experience across mobile and desktop - ideally at a direct to consumer brand 
  • You have a deep understanding of ecommerce, website accessibility, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices 
  • You have helped to build and maintain a design system 
  • You have experience conducting user interviews to validate designs 
  • You have experience working in a fast paced, rapid release cycle environment 
  • You are excited to take ownership at the early stage of a company
