As a Project Manager you have day-to-day responsibility for supporting the smooth and effective running of any client or internal projects that you are responsible for, including site launches, online tools, web applications.

For this position, we expect you to be a tech-savvy, pro-active professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help us achieve our business goals. You should be methodical and have excellent time management skills. As a Project Manager, you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and with an appreciation and capacity for doing so in a remote context.

Ultimately, you should be able to manage and deliver our projects’ digital lifecycle within quality, time and budget requirements. You should have a thorough understanding of the principles and processes of agile project management and its respective methodologies and be able to integrate with those adopted at Human Made.

We use agile frameworks, mostly Scrum so you’ll also need to have experience working with these frameworks in addition to managing traditional needs in terms of reporting, resource allocation, and budgeting.

Responsibilities:


Supporting a development team
  • End to end project manage experience delivering technology/web projects
  • Create and maintain a team culture that facilitates a shared responsibility for successful delivery
  • Guide team on principles and practice of the agile framework being used in the project
  • Work with team to help define and refine project scope, estimates, and resource requirements for projects
  • Facilitate meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments
  • Assess the time and financial impact of scope change and communicate to stakeholders as appropriate

Building and safeguarding relationships
  • Build a partnership relationship with clients, having empathy and sensitivity to their pressures
  • Develop and maintain positive and functional relationships with the internal project teams
  • Communicate regularly; be proactive in facing difficult conversations
  • Manage your interactions with clients and internal team professionally, and personably
  • Be flexible and adaptive to emergent client and project needs

Accountability to Human Made
  • Be commercially aware: Understand the status of the budget of your projects and be able to report on them back to the company
  • Allocation management of project needs in conjunction with regional team/s and allocation manager
  • Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a project manager in delivering web applications using agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with using Content Management systems and HTML/CSS
  • Enterprise agency environment experience
  • Experience in using a wide range of project management tools such as, budget/time tracking tools and issue tracking software
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience in project management models and frameworks and their application to different projects
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Broad understanding of web technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, CMS, Javascript, and version control
  • Experience in remote working teams
