One of the UK's leading technology companies are entering a sustained period of hyper-growth and looking to double their tech team size in excess of over 1000 with software engineering at the very heart of it all.
As a developer you will be ambitious, career driven and always wanting to learn and bring new innovative ways of working. In return you will have the platform to work and contribute to real disruptive technology including large-scale distributed systems design and back-end distributed systems & data for their high-volume services.
You will be a member of a core software engineering teams and be responsible for the design, development and delivery of multiple apps and features. By producing high quality, scalable Java code including test suites you will work as part of a squad to evolve new services and deliver on key projects by collaborating closely with fellow engineers, products owners and stakeholders.
You'll have a strong knowledge of Java (8-11+) with experience of Java micro-service frameworks and building REST based APIs. Prior experience building and deploying large scale distributed services would be a major plus and naturally you will be driven by continuous improvement / development along with software development best practices.
Any further experience with other programming languages such as Go / Golang, Python, JavaScript or with DevOps / Container technologies would be a bonus.
These roles can be fully remote or for those that wish to have a hybrid model then this client has 3 offices across Manchester / North West or a Central London HQ.
