The Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with the relentless pursuit of crafting world-class cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, a hard worker, has a knack for creative problem-solving, and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s Engineering team to develop and build all aspects of infrastructure and CICD. You will use Kubernetes and Terraform along with modern distributed systems with Kafka and Cassandra while working directly with application developers on well-designed, repeatable solutions that scale.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implement core infrastructure using Terraform
- Build, deploy, scale, and maintain our containers with Kubernetes
- Build and maintain our CICD pipelines
- Build and maintain our Kafka brokers, Ksql instances, MirrorMaker
Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years deploying infrastructure in-production with AWS
- 4+ years writing and deploying Terraform
- 4+ years building and maintaining Kubernetes at scale
- 3+ years of in-production Kafka experience
Nice to Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Multiple years of in-production Kafka experience
- Multiple years of in-production Cassandra experience
- Familiar with Node.js and TypeScript
