About This Role

As an HR Generalist at Very, you’ll be ensuring a best in class employee experience. We are a fast paced organization and you’ll have the opportunity to be an active contributor to scaling the company. 

In this role, you’ll be executing our compensation and benefits processes and enforcing company policies and practices.
Reporting directly to the Head of People Ops,  this role will also drive the talent development process in addition to engaging with our employees on day to day people operations needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting employee onboards and help organize training and development initiatives
  • Administering our compensation and benefits plans
  • Organizing mid year and annual review processes
  • Organizing promotion processes
  • Maintaining all employee documentation
  • Working with our 401k provider to ensure a smooth experience for employees
  • Promoting HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Gathering and analyzing data using HR metrics
  • Conducting background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of employment/labor laws
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent english skills
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn our HRIS and talent management system
  • Must have experience with American healthcare plans and 401ks


How You’ll Be Compensated

We believe in a transparent, fair compensation structure and have developed our own open salary formula. Depending on your skill and experience, you can expect your base compensation to be somewhere between $35,000 and $40,000 upon joining the company. We also offer performance bonuses, a generous maternity/paternity leave policy, $1,000 home office stipend, and numerous other employee benefits.
