We are seeking a .NET developer responsible for building .NET applications using ASP MVC, Entity Framework and MS SqlServer. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
*Please note - this role is open to any location in North America. This is a contract position that could be extended into a full time opportunity in the future.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back end code (C#, ASP.NET)
- Working with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc to maintain and improve client-facing platforms
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and web applications
- Managing databases and servers (SQL server)
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Assisting in estimation of features for release planning
- Communicating with other devs, design, and content teams to deliver the best possible product
- Keeping up with emerging technology that may serve the business’ needs
What You Bring:
- 5 years of industry experience
- Related technical diploma and/or comparable work experience
- Ability to switch between front and back end development based on requirements
- Proficient in backend maintenance and development (C#)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Strong knowledge of .NET web framework primarily around web development (ASP.NET MVC)
- Experience creating responsive and user friendly front end web pages
- Competency with front end development (CSS / HTML / Bootstrap / Javascript / jQuery)
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and writing queries for same
- Strong knowledge of Entity Framework
- Proficient understanding of code version control systems: Git/Github
- Knack for writing clean, readable, reusable and easily maintainable code
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for building scalable applications
- Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge of Google Services (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console)
- SEO Knowledge including Google’s Core Web Vitals
- Knowledge or experience with build processes (TeamCity, Octopus)
- Github experience with dev projects outside of work
- Basic understanding of Amazon AWS
- DNS
