Shopventory was established to provide merchants with the confidence to run and grow a healthy and successful business. Started for a fashion boutique in San Diego, CA a husband and wife team worked together to create the first version of Shopventory. It was clear many other businesses needed a robust reporting and inventory management solution as word of mouth continued to spread. Our platform currently integrates with Shopify, Stripe, Square, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, PayPal, Clover and many others with more integrations on the horizon.

Job Description

Shopventory is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team. Working collaboratively within a small team as the sole Designer, you’ll have a massive impact and the opportunity to shape products, new features, and influence design decisions.

With direct exposure to customers, you’ll work with internal stakeholders creating the features that drive our success. Good UX/UI is essential to our growth and your opinions are respected and desired. You’ll work with a team who are all passionate about the customer experience. We have a good design foundation and you’ll help take it to the next level.

Here’s what you would be working on:

• Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with sales, product managers, executive stakeholders and engineers
• Create surveys and conduct user studies to gather feedback on customer’s ease of use and satisfaction using company’s new, proposed or existing websites and products, and incorporate feedback into appropriate designs and UX
• Create a UX strategy for current and future products
• Design and implement solutions to complex problems in existing and new applications that match the company's visual identity
• Design, prepare and present rough drafts, storyboards and high fidelity mockups to internal teams and key stakeholders for future and current product enhancements
• Identify and troubleshoot UX issues (e.g. responsiveness)
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Contribute to and maintain a company wide design system encompassing things like fonts, colors & images, look & feel, and UI components.
• Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences

Requirements

The person in this position must be a great communicator, possess an eye for detail, enjoy collaborating, and solving tough problems.

We don’t care whether you went to college, but we would like you to have 2+ years of experience in UX and UI design with web based products and a strong desire to delight non-technical end users who desire very intuitive features.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience creating and implementing UX design for web based products
• Proven track record of shipping products, taking design from start to finish
• Experience designing for data interaction (vs. static webpages)
• Passionate about staying up to date with UX trends, current design strategies and technologies
• An inspiring portfolio of design projects.
• Expert knowledge of wireframe tools (we are using Figma)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• The ability to work with front end developers and understand code base constraints
• Very organized with a high attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind

Location: Work from wherever you are in the U. S., work from our office in the Denver Tech Center or both if you'd like.

Compensation, Perks and Benefits:

• The salary range for the position is $ 90,000 - $ 120,000 depending on work experience, skills, certifications and education.
