We're looking for an experienced WordPress developer to work with a range of clients and unique projects between the USA and Australia.
The Code Company is a remote / work from home, WordPress VIP agency for medium and large media and publishing clients. Our team is made up of experts within the WordPress ecosystem, plugin developers, front-end developers and back-end engineers. If you appreciate best practices, open source standards and a culture of producing the best, then you'll fit right in.
The ideal candidate will already be using modern web dev tools like Grunt, Yarn, Gulp, Git (inc. branching & merging) and related tools in their workflow. You'll be keen to stay up to date with the latest technologies and always hungry to learn more.
Key Skills you will require are:
- Front end build tools (Grunt, Gulp etc)
- Git (inc. branching & merging) and related tools in their workflow.
- Modern HTML/CSS
- WordPress at Enterprise Level (writing fast code)
- WordPress at scale for large publishers with more than 5 million page views/month average.
- Custom backend functionality (Custom post types, REST API endpoints, custom plugins and so on)
As this position sees you working solo and with a team, there are few key qualities we look out for. This includes the ability to self-motivate, work autonomously and be a good communicator.
