The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer (Wordpress), you'll be joining our engineering team, where you'll help with the development of various websites for our clients. You will also be managing a team of Engineers, helping them grow and allowing them to be the best version of themselves. People management is not a major part of the role, however, it is something that we hope you see value in
Other duties will include
- Define, implement and optimise internal digital systems and procedures
- Develop websites, apps and digital campaigns with appropriate use of technology
- Collaborate with all teams to meet project objectives
- Provide key direction and quality control to improve user experience
- Manage project delivery to our development standards
- Assist in stakeholder meetings, training and presentations when required
- Establish and maintain trust when dealing with clients
- Capable of working or leading delivery on several projects simultaneously
- Conduct research and training as required to maintain proficiency
- Mentor and review the work of other developers to ensure quality
- Help your team setup meaningful goals
Requirements
- Extensive experience in WordPress, including building Plugins, Custom themes from scratch
- Previous background in PHP Development
- Hands-on experience working with various Frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery, Bootstrap), Vue.js, React
- Experience in Leading and Managing Engineers
- Experience with API integrations
- Knowledge of WooCommerce or Shopify
- Understanding of various Design tools (Figma, Sketch, Photoshop)
- Good communication skills and the ability in to work closely with various internal and external business stakeholders
- AWS/Cloud hosting and management experience is a plus
- Experience working with Node.JS, C# or Python API’s is a plus
