Good Words LLC is looking for a staff-level Privacy Content Writer for a direct-hire position with one of our technology industry clients! This is a full-time, remote position at a fast-growing startup.
About the role:
As a staff-level Privacy Content Writer, you will be responsible for developing privacy-related content for our client's website, social media, content syndication, and more. The core function of this role is to articulate our client's position as experts in the data privacy industry at scale by writing strategic thought-leadership content for audiences within the privacy and data protection domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, attorneys, marketers, sales, product, and business leaders to inform our target audience how our client's groundbreaking innovation meets vital market demand.
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop a steady stream of thought-leadership content that supports critical business objectives, including blog posts, white papers, press releases, and social media content.
- Translate complex legal ideas and services into clear, compelling stories to engage privacy-law and data-protection audiences.
- Write and publish consistent content that builds on our client's brand across all channels, while adjusting voice and tone for specific audiences, mediums, channels, and use cases.
- Integrating SEO and digital-media best practices into all web, blog, and social media content.
- Monitor content success, traffic, and conversion rates.
- Monitor industry news and trends to maintain timely messaging and identify opportunities for new thought-leadership content.
- Craft content to support executive communications, such as speaking abstracts and speeches.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for the company's thought-leadership content.
Required qualifications:
- EXCELLENT writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience writing content for audiences in privacy and data-protection law and technology
- Experience crafting long- and short-form thought-leadership content, including blog posts, white papers, press releases and articles, and social media content
- Available for a full-time position
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience leading content development initiatives for legal technology brands, or experience as a data privacy journalist
- Salesforce experience
- Hubspot experience
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
- Based in the North America
