The Assistant Controller position is responsible for managing the ongoing financial reporting operations of the firm on behalf of Outsourced Accounting clients. This includes the review of periodic financial reports prepared by the Accounting Manager, preparation of budget, KPI and other management reports, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the client's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The Assistant Controller also may serve as the primary liaison between the client and the client's tax preparer and other professional service providers.

Responsibilities
- Develop a strong, productive, professional, trusted advisor relationship with assigned clients.
- Manage a team of 1-2 accounting professionals as you lead the monthly financial close process for assigned clients in a timely manner.
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and other strategic initiatives.
- Preparation of complex client Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and other management reports.
- Ongoing monthly maintenance and updates of client processes and workflows.
- Staff planning and resource management.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and supervision to team members.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA Eligible.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred).
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Team player with a positive 'can do' approach.
- A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.
