Job Description
Reporting to the HRVP, the HR Director is the key business partner to operational leaders to implement strategies and programs across all areas of HR for their assigned area including talent management, organizational design, change management, labor and employee relationship, attraction and retention and driving overall organizational engagement.
• In partnership with business leaders and the HRVP, set, drive, and execute the HR & talent agenda for their assigned area
• Establish themselves and serve as trusted and credible HR business partner and advisor for operational leaders in assigned area
Job Responsibilities
• Own and drive successful people outcomes in their assigned area through:
o Identifying HR and talent needs using an understanding of the market, portfolio, the challenges that exist, business and client objectives, and data to derive insights; developing strategies that make an impact and executing upon them.
o Building & leading a strong, empowered, and trusted HR team for their assigned area through enablement, coaching and developing
o Collaborative problem solving and ensuring thorough execution of all HR programs and solutions
• Drive successful outcomes across all areas of HR and talent for their assigned area including:
o Ensuring ‘right & ready’ talent: talent acquisition, talent management, performance and career development, succession planning and leadership pipeline development
o Understanding the key and unique drivers of attraction and retention and partnering appropriately to develop & execute strategies to make an impact
o Coach and advise leadership and management on all employee relations issues. Conducts and resolves employee investigations in a timely manner in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
o Establish strong and effective labor relations management in partnership with the LR team
o Compensation & workforce planning
o Organizational design optimization, including providing counsel on restructuring and realignment
o Leads the employee engagement and impact planning process for assigned area
o Engagement and retention, onboarding, training & development needs ID and coordination, leadership coaching
o Ensures compliance with HR and employment policies for their assigned areas
Experience
Qualifications
• At least 10 years of progressive HR experience across a variety of generalist and specialist roles including talent management, talent acquisition, organizational design, and employee + labor relations
• At least 5 years of experience leading a team of exempt-level HR professionals or similar combination of education and experience
• Ideal candidate will have some combination of experience working with:
o Large, decentralized, high-growth environment providing managed services
o Post-acute healthcare, long-term care, senior living, skilled nursing industry
o Large, distributed non-exempt level employee base with high volume hiring
o Collective bargaining units and unions
o Multiple client groups and geographic markets
o Leading a remote team
o HR shared services structure
