HR Communications Consultant

Summary

Responsible for the development of strategic communications plans and programs that the support the overall perception, knowledge, and understanding of Human Resources initiatives for Memorial's key audiences.


Detailed Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements innovative communications strategies that foster employee engagement.
  • Builds and determines the communications strategy, positioning, tone, tactics and channels, and ensuring messaging aligns with Memorial and HR's brand, purpose, and values.
  • Crafts and disseminates HR communications through internal channels and prepares select communications for external channels. Channels include but are not limited to: print publications, mail, email, intranet, mobile applications, social media, video, talking points, events, etc.
  • Partners with HR functional areas to identify key messages and plans, develops, and disseminates those messages. Functional areas include: Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HRIS, Employee Relations, and Organizational Development. Supports hospital leadership for facility specific HR communication. Supports other departments within the system on an ad hoc basis.
  • Plays a critical role in engaging caregivers and elevating our culture as we change how we work in the wake of COVID-19 and other emergency situations i.e. hurricanes.
  • Knowledge of communications tools, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Writes and edits content to ensure we are consistently following AP Style and the Memorial Style Guide.
  • Identifies stories and produces high quality written materials for electronic, print, web, video, and social media channels.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with staff members from across the healthcare system.

Required Work Experience: Three plus (3+) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Must have demonstrated expertise with HR-related communications and collateral material development; demonstrated ability to manage people, multiple projects and deadlines; knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management Systems (intranet, email distribution, and native apps).
