About the Role:
The Learning & Engagement team is seeking a Content Writer to write high-quality content that enhances our clients' use and understanding of Burgiss' solutions. This role involves working with internal teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to write blog posts, newsletter articles, and knowledge articles.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Finance, Business, or similar
- 3-5 years of content writing or copywriting experience, ideally on finance, business, or similar topics
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality content with strong attention to detail
- Ability to interview SMEs and quickly grasp financial concepts in order to write informational and explanatory content for multiple audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Online content writing portfolio and/or related writing samples will be required
Preferred:
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or private capital industry
- Experience interviewing SMEs and applying acquired knowledge in order to write informational and explanatory content
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality informational and explanatory content in a variety of formats, including blog posts, newsletter articles, and knowledge articles.
- Write content for the Burgiss website with a strong focus on a client-specific audience.
- Interview researchers and SMEs and write content based on the information they provide.
- Work with internal teams to obtain and maintain extensive knowledge of all company products and services as well as documentation requirements, and continue to expand personal knowledge of the company and the industry.
- Revise documents and articles based on product enhancements and other changes.
- Write in a style consistent with our in-house style guide, including voice and grammar.
- Take and format high-quality screenshots for product-related documentation.
- Assist with planning and preparation of scripts for video tutorials.
- Assist with editing and review of other written content, including client newsletter and product chronology.
- Generate innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
