We survey 40,000+ developers annually - across mobile, IoT, desktop, cloud, AR/VR, web, games, data science, and machine learning - to help clients such as Microsoft, Facebook, Google and Amazon understand who developers are, what tools they love or hate and where they are going next.

We’re now looking for a full-time Market Research Analyst to join our team. The Market Research Analyst will engage in competitive market analysis to better understand what industry leaders do and how. You’ll be working based anywhere in Europe / Greece, working remotely.

What you'll be doing

  • You will be working on our global market research and conducting ad-hoc research projects to gain an understanding of consumers and competitors worldwide, and our products.
  • Take over responsibility for the execution of quantitative research, i.e. owning projects end-to-end from research design and project management to data analysis and reporting.
  • With your strong communication and consulting skills, you share your key findings with stakeholders throughout SlashData.
  • Work with market research vendors globally, i.e. writing briefs, assessing proposals and managing projects.

What skills we are looking for

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of market research that involves hands-on quantitative research, product management, business development and/or marketing strategy.
  • Successfully completed studies in Marketing, Business Development or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of questionnaire design, data analysis, online research and reporting data.
  • Advanced skills in analysis tools ( Excel, Python and Pandas are a plus).
  • You are enthusiastic about research and are comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong self-organising skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Points for

  • Past experience of working with data.
  • Past experience of consulting stakeholders on data projects ideally in the tech industry.
  • Past experience with quantitative or qualitative research design, competitive market analysis or user research.
  • Following trends in the tech industry through past experience or as a hobby.

Key success metrics


You will be successful in the role if in the first 6 months you have:
  • Developed a basic understanding of how the developer-led landscape works.
  • Actively supported the rest of the analysts team.
  • Supported our developer outreach and sales teams, promptly responding to any requests relevant to your work.

Salary

£40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and location (40 hours per week).
