Overview:

This role is a contributing member of the Wendy's Social Media & Digital Engagement team, responsible for managing our SEO/SEM strategy and initiatives based on brand goals, key performance metrics and audience needs. The SEO/SEM Sr. Specialist is the subject matter expert, owning the best practices and evangelizing standards across our teams. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing Wendy’s SEO/SEM strategy.

You will work closely with agency partners, as well as our in-house digital and marketing teams, to evaluate campaign and content performance, develop KPIs, and ultimately translate these results into actionable business results and recommendations.

Responsibilities


  • Developing and executing a growth strategy within our web portfolio that ladders into our greater digital ecosystem using SEO/SEM to drive demand and help grow revenue.
  • Translating the brand marketing calendar into digital deliverables and managing the day-to-day workflow to guarantee flawless execution across responsible mediums.
  • Continually monitoring program and marketing effectiveness while identifying opportunities with KPIs for improvement.
  • Work with agencies to identify new search trends and innovative opportunities within the marketplace, such as betas, new tactics, and testing.
  • Generating weekly and monthly reporting for all KPIs, goals, test results, and other initiatives.
  • Work with agencies on paid search ad copy for new campaigns (keyword themes, headline/description best practices, landing pages).
  • Work to connect resources across channels, partners and stakeholders to bring effective solutions forward and drive digital transformation.
  • Support the prioritization of digital workstreams including development, content and SEO/SEM aligning to a broader vision & goals/KPIs.

 

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Web Development, Computer Science, Communications, or related field is required.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Proficient in URL structure and SEO/SEM strategy.
  • Has worked either in-agency or within an agency-client structure in the past. Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with a CMS and managing web or digital properties.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Local Services, and Yext. Google Ads certifications a plus.
  • 15% travel is required.
