Senior Content Marketing Manager

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Content Marketing Manager to join the Checkmarx team. As an all-around great marketer with a track record of producing extraordinary content, you'll be responsible for creating high impact content that drives awareness, opportunity creation, conversion, and sales of Checkmarx products. This will involve both writing yourself as well as working closely with product marketing and other writers, designers, videographers, and outside agencies, to scale Checkmarx's content strategy and support our demand generation and other marketing programs.
Responsibilities
- Understand the needs of customers, sales, marketing and our unique GTM to create a content strategy that builds awareness, accelerates conversion, and generates sales pipeline
- Conceive, research, develop, and deliver compelling and high-quality content that weaves business and technical messages to showcase Checkmarx thought leadership and expertise
- Coordinate with product marketing and other stakeholders to create content in a variety of formats, including whitepapers, ebooks, blogs posts, articles, and marketing collateral
- Harness the knowledge of subject matter experts, including security researchers, solutions engineers, and developers, to create consistently high quality technical content
- Manage contractors and vendors as needed to scale content creation
Requirements:
- Superior writing, editing, and communication skills
- 8-10+ years of cybersecurity/IT security journalism experience and/or in-house editorial or content marketing experience for a B2B IT security software company
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices
- Ability to deliver a range of high-quality content of different types and in different voices, at a high pace
- Proven management skills with the ability to develop and motivate a small team of internal and external writers
- Bachelor's degree required; journalism or communications degree preferred

- Critical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills
- Strong technical aptitude in security- and/or software-related technologies and proven ability to communicate technical concepts
- Intellectual curiosity with the desire and ability to understand products, technologies, go-to-market, and customers
