We are actively seeking a Intermediary Accountant. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the US.
Position Summary
The Intermediary Accountant will be directly involved with month-end close, day to day general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and working with the Company’s external auditors. The Intermediary Accountant will have exposure to most areas of the Company in the month-end close process.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Active role in the financial close process
- Preparation of month end journal entries and reconciliations
- Set up and processing of allocations among all department and cost centers
- Compile various consolidated reporting schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual filings
- Assist in preparing the consolidated quarterly cash flow and flux templates for reporting purposes
- Work closely with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury teams to ensure day-to-day operational needs are met, and accounting entries are properly recorded.
- Maintain documentation of internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Apply knowledge and experience with accounting principles to assess the accuracy and proper entry of financial data and documentation; identify and recommend solutions to resolve discrepancies.
- Participate in the implementation and ongoing enhancements of the Company’s system.
- Perform special projects or ad hoc analyses, as required
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Experience
- 3 to 6 years of accounting experience and strong base knowledge in the practice and application of US GAAP
- Experience working with foreign subsidiaries and currency translation a plus
- Experience with public company standards (Sarbanes Oxley, SEC, etc.) a plus
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Blackline a plus

- Advanced excel skills
- Must be highly detail oriented and organized, with ability to work independently as well as in a group environment

- Ability to produce complex, detailed accounting reconciliations that is easy to interpret for auditors
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company
- Ability to analyze large quantities of complex data and research accounting data through sub-ledgers and the GL and draw logical conclusions
- Demonstrate understanding of debit and credits and of multi-relational impact of the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement and how journal entries affect each statement
