Business group: Canadian Digital Banking – Engineering
UX Design – Canada – The Product designers sit in teams of sub journeys; in payments space
Project: Support new credit product acquisition projects
Typical Day in Role:
• Leads the design of the UX strategy for the project and brings it to pixel perfection – using tools: Figma, Microsoft Suite of Tools
• Works with various stakeholders to design and deliver high quality client-centered, effective, consistent, and usable interfaces
• Creates the design of user interface specifications, by applying client research, design standards, industry best practices, considering strategic business objectives, user needs, systems constraints
• Participates in 2 working groups a week, acting as a design representative for bank, representing their interests by demonstrating critical thinking to propose ideas on solutions and provide UX expertise within those meetings
• Communicates findings and discussed solutions back to stakeholders and business lines at the Bank, acquiring consensus and getting approvals on designs and documentation
• Spends most time in design and solutioning meetings – needs to be very open and collaborative with other cross functional teams (developers, QAs, delivery leads, Product Managers) to come up with the best solutions for the designs
• Supports the delivery of the project by liaising with delivery leads, developers, engineers, and helps build solutions, lending design QA to the solution
• Supports ad hoc asks as needed eg. Design execution; wire frames; pixel perfect designs, supporting designers - more on the UI execution side of things

UX/UI Designer
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years in a similar UX Designer role
2) 5+ years’ experience working on both web and mobile products
3) Demonstrated experience delivering end to end product designs at an enterprise level – with minimum 2 different case studies
4) 3+ years’ demonstrated experience with design systems
5) 3+ years’ demonstrated hands-on expert experience using Figma – familiar with prototyping, auto layout, component libraries
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience working with credit lending products
2) Designer experience within FI/banking a bonus
3) Knowledge of HTML, CSS an asset
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong stakeholder management skills – required for this role
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas effectively
• Strong team player but can take initiative and be a self-starter
• Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong detail orientation, and a passion for consistency
Education:
Post-secondary degree preferred

1st – Portfolio Review Interview – 1 hour total (45 presentation, 15 questions) – with HM and designers
2nd - Culture Fit Interview with Product Manager – 30 minutes
