Founded in 2015, we are a highly talented, multidisciplinary, international team of communications and branding experts catering to an exclusive portfolio of entrepreneurs, C-Suite executives, government agency and non-profit leaders, book authors, fashion experts and high net-worth individuals.
We seek a mid-level, full-time social media manager to support and help advance our growth in North America. Though this is a virtual role, the candidate must live in the Eastern time zone (New York Metro area preferred). Previous PR agency experience preferred.
As a social media manager, you will be responsible for managing our U.S. and Canadian clients’ social media pages and posts and working alongside our wider team on personal/executive branding and strategic initiatives.
You will report to the Director of US Accounts but sometimes may be tasked with assignments from the Director of Operations or CEO.

We seek a talented social media manager to administer our clients’ social media accounts. You will be responsible for posting, tracking and monitoring posts for up to 8 clients on an ongoing basis, establishing and maintaining the content calendar schedule for each North American client, identifying and maximizing keywords/hashtags to drive traffic and maximize SEO, overseeing community management to increase engagement, including responding to followers and flagging any comments for the client and Prestidge Group’s crisis response team that violate LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook’s respective online codes of conduct, threaten violence or physical harm to the client or other followers/commenters, knowingly share false information, or post inflammatory, obscene or pornographic statements or images. You will manage our clients’ image in a cohesive and consistent way to achieve their marketing goals.
As a social media manager, we expect you to be up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our clients’ views creatively.
Ultimately, you should be able to manage the social media presence of our clients to drive high levels of web traffic and customer engagement, including making practical recommendations on how to increase both based on proven paid and unpaid social media strategies and tactics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly all-hands meetings and other agency meetings as requested.
- As part of the client’s onboarding and strategic planning process, recommend effective and relevant social media strategies and channels to align with each client’s unique branding or marketing goals.
- Conduct research using Google Analytics, Hubspot or other keyword search tools to identify and recommend the top 10 keywords for each client based on his/her unique industry and marketing goals.
- Establish a monthly schedule of posts for each client and ensure content is published on the scheduled date.
- Work with the content writer to develop 8-12 social media captions a month per client that drive traffic and compel engagement.
- Participate and present those ideas in monthly client editorial calendar development meetings.
- Proofread all content before posting to clients’ social media channels and work with internal communications team to fix any errors.
- Publish and share all approved client content on the recommended social media channels on the scheduled date.
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
- Conduct detailed audits and set baseline metrics for each client.
- Recommend, design and implement social media strategies to align with each client’s unique branding or marketing goals.
- Monitor SEO, web traffic and engagement metrics and create detailed data-led monthly reports that demonstrate growth (or decline).
- Communicate with social followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews. Flag any inappropriate posts/comments and share them with the account manager and crisis team as needed.
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (ex: Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, such as promotions, surveys, partnerships, and competitions.
- Collaborate with other teams, including account management, PR, content creation, video editing, and graphic design to ensure excellent client service and brand consistency.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
Requirements And Skills
- At least five years of paid experience ideating, posting, monitoring and analyzing social media content.
- Hands-on experience working with content management platforms like ASANA.
- Ability to follow all agency protocols and processes as established by CEO and Director of Operations.
- Excellent proofreading skills (AP and Chicago style) and an eye for detail.
- Ability to recommend social media strategies and content (text, image and video) examples proven to increase followers and/or engagement
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of social media and online marketing channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Medium and TikTok. Experience working with Mastodon or other Twitter alternatives is a plus.
Benefits
Salary Range: $56,000-$69,000 a year, depending on experience.Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare coverage, 22 personal/vacation days, and standard holidays off.
