Arcaea, a cutting-edge biotechnology company, is seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our team. We are currently building a new ingredient toolset for the beauty and personal care industry, rooted in biotechnology, with the aim of delivering radical performance and unparalleled sustainability. This innovative toolset will also present new opportunities for storytelling in the industry, and the Graphic Designer will play a critical role in shaping and driving Arcaea's ethos around a "biology-first" future for the industry.
As a Graphic Designer at Arcaea, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and impactful designs that will be used in various marketing and branding materials, including but not limited to packaging, digital assets, advertisements, retail, social media content, and presentations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, marketers, and product managers, to develop visual assets that communicate Arcaea's mission of creating the most consequential personal care ingredients and brands of this century.
This role reports to our Creative Director. This is a full time role and can be based in Boston MA or remote.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Create visually compelling designs that align with Arcaea's brand identity and messaging, using a "biology-first" approach to convey the cutting-edge nature of our biotechnology-based ingredient toolset.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop design concepts that meet their needs, while ensuring consistency across all materials.
- Develop and execute design concepts for a wide range of marketing and branding materials, including packaging, digital assets, advertisements, retail, social media content, and presentations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to create innovative and impactful designs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide creative input and feedback to improve the overall visual communication of Arcaea's products and brand.
- Maintain and organize a digital library of design assets for easy accessibility by the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in graphic design, with a focus on branding, marketing, and digital media.
- Proficient in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
- Knowledge of design concepts, typography, color theory, and composition.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality designs in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of biotechnology and the beauty and personal care industry is a plus.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. The range is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
