About The Job
In this role, you’ll design government digital services. At first, you’ll work with the Department of Veterans Affairs to rethink the ways veterans apply for benefits. You’ll join a cross-functional, dynamic team, figure out how to gracefully modernize the experience of applying and strive to deliver a radically better experience to folks seeking assistance from the government. This role is fully remote, but due to government policies around access to internal systems, all work must be performed in the continental United States.
Here’s what we hope you bring:
- 4+ years of design experience
- Strong background in visual/product design, with some experience in research/UX/other design disciplines
- Ability to dive deep into arcane details of policy and process and find the simplest, most streamlined path to incremental improvement
- Desire to learn about government and help make it better
- Desire to work at a small company focused on thoughtful growth
- Curiosity, scrappiness, patience, and humility
- 4 weeks PTO per year + federal holidays
- 401k matching at up to 4% of salary
