Overview:
A User Experience (UX)/ User Interface (UI) Designer will work with the entire organization as well as our clients to develop websites and apps. The User Experience/Interface Designer will use logic and relationships between digital elements to help consumers complete actions in the most efficient and pleasant way possible – crucial to the overall customer experience.
An UX/UI designer is responsible for ensuring the end product meets the consumer’s needs in the best way possible. If you are someone with critical thinking skills who enjoys solving complex problems and can anticipate what users want and need, this role is for you!
We will be interested in seeing a digital portfolio demonstrating your capacity to create work that engages users and showcases a variety of project types and audiences. We are open to hiring a work from home candidate located in any city/state that has reasonable access to a major airport.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the development of product design strategy, application layout flow and use case clarity
- Determine customer goals and define the product interactions necessary to achieve them
- Partner with product analysts in compiling user, business and functional requirements to create product construction materials
- Utilize Responsive Design, working with portable devices with various screen sizes as well as desktop application usability
- Create wireframes and prototypes that illustrate key product flows and interactions
- Work with the Product design team to develop layout and visuals
- Collaborate with the product engineering team to ensure an efficient customer journey
- Conduct product testing and surveys to identify problems and areas for improvement within the customer experience
- Present concepts to clients, leadership and design peers
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
- Adjust design concepts as consumer and market needs change
Qualifications:- UI/UX designers should have a bachelor’s degree in a field such as product management, business administration, engineering, digital communication, design or information systems.
- Two to five years of experience working with user interface and interaction design or related fields, such as graphic design.
- Proficient in industry-standard design programs like Adobe Creative Suite-Adobe XD and Figma, used for wireframing and prototyping.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint, creating presentations for both internal teams and clients.
- General Knowledge of the Healthcare space and clinical settings is of high value
- An understanding of graphic design principles and technical or coding proficiency, are a plus
- Ability to provide a strong digital portfolio demonstrating their capacity to create work that engages users and showcases a variety of project types and audiences.
- Ability to create compiling interfaces that combine both the visual design aspect of a site or app with functionality and usability
- Experience with A/B or other types of user experience validation testing
- Ability to assess and prioritize requirements and functionality to determine value
- Critical soft skills for this role include verbal and written communication - crucial for working between departments and with clients or end users
- Outstanding time management and organizational abilities to manage a fast paced role, balancing competing demands on time and energy.
