The Role
Our client is looking for a talented UX Designer to join their team! As the UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that engage players and enhance gameplay. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify player needs and preferences and integrate insights into the design process.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that communicate design ideas and validate concepts with internal teams.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including user stories, design guidelines, and UI specifications.
- Collaborate with game designers and artists to ensure that UI and UX designs support gameplay goals and enhance the game's visual identity.
- Work with engineers to implement and refine user interfaces and gameplay features in Unreal Engine.
- Perform usability testing and analyze player feedback to improve designs and identify areas for iteration and innovation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and proactively seek out opportunities to improve UX and UI in our games.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, interaction design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a UX designer in the gaming industry, preferably with AAA experience.
- Strong proficiency with industry standard tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision.
- Experience working on an RPG and/or sci-fi game is a plus.
- Experience working in Unreal Engine is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations and preferences.
