  • Design and develop recommendations based on evidence and data
  • Utilize task analysis and observation techniques to understand user pain points and user needs
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data in order to make recommendations based on user needs
  • Document user research in a reusable and searchable format
  • Champion the use of the User Centered Design methodology through education and awareness raising among stakeholders
  • Socialize and disseminate research findings to benefit projects and the Department
  • Communicate research findings to development teams, project teams and other user experience professionals to perform architectural modeling to ensure consistency of the design
  • Assess the impact of the new user-centric requirements on existing and new web applications
  • Monitor the need for architectural changes as the project progresses to address ongoing changes in user needs
  • Develop post-implementation plan for monitoring and tracking architecture stability and the subsequent user needs
  • Develop plans and strategies to conduct ongoing user research throughout the life of a project
  • Ensure functionalities have been implemented according to specifications stemming from user research
  • Develop test plans for User Acceptance testing of the system; and
  • Document the discussions, concepts and the finalized scope.
Deliverables May Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Research deliverables including as personas, journey maps, service blueprints, reports and presentations
  • Documents identifying user journeys and related information architecture
  • Design recommendations
  • Architectural Modeling
  • Workshop presentations
  • Plans and Strategies related to User Research
  • Post-implementation Plans for monitoring and tracking architecture stability and the subsequent user needs; and
  • User Acceptance Test Plans.
