10+ years as a UX Designer with 3+ years as a Service Designer/Lead Designer managing the design process, leading design strategy sessions, and presenting UX findings to management
5+ years gathering requirements, conducting user research and using qualitative and quantitative data to identify user pain points, create personas, empathy maps, service blueprints and journey maps
5+ years identifying and supporting the use of design thinking tools, methodologies and techniques to gather user needs and requirements (ex. workshops)
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Understand the existing service and design targeted improvements focusing on user needs and addressing user pain points
Identify and support the use of design thinking tools, methodologies and techniques to gather user needs and requirements, such as Workshops
Develop and validate user research deliverables such as personas, journey maps, service blueprints, reports and presentations
Arrange interactions into rational user journeys and define related information architecture to be used in web-based projects
Design and develop recommendations based on evidence and data
Utilize task analysis and observation techniques to understand user pain points and user needs
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data in order to make recommendations based on user needs
Document user research in a reusable and searchable format
Champion the use of the User Centered Design methodology through education and awareness raising among stakeholders
Socialize and disseminate research findings to benefit projects and the Department
Communicate research findings to development teams, project teams and other user experience professionals to perform architectural modeling to ensure consistency of the design
Assess the impact of the new user-centric requirements on existing and new web applications
Monitor the need for architectural changes as the project progresses to address ongoing changes in user needs
Develop post-implementation plan for monitoring and tracking architecture stability and the subsequent user needs
Develop plans and strategies to conduct ongoing user research throughout the life of a project
Ensure functionalities have been implemented according to specifications stemming from user research
Develop test plans for User Acceptance testing of the system; and
Document the discussions, concepts and the finalized scope.

Plans and Strategies related to User Research
