We are expanding our team in Detroit and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to drive our growth. Private equity experience is preferred.

Job Description:


As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving business growth by promoting our comprehensive suite of business advisory services, including finance, accounting, data analytics, information technology, and operations. You will play a critical role in researching market trends, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and closing deals with both public and private companies in the US. This is a producer role focused on sales, not people management.


Responsibilities:


  • Gain deep understanding of our target markets, including industries, companies, projects, and key contacts, and develop effective strategies to attract clients.
  • Build annual sales projections and produce reports to track progress.
  • Generate leads and develop a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Manage the CRM process and software to track and nurture leads.
  • Set up and lead business development meetings, showcasing the value of our services.
  • Assist with the proposal process, collaborating with client service teams to create compelling proposals.
  • Mentor professionals through the business development process, leveraging your expertise and knowledge.
  • Conduct research on prospective accounts, pursue leads, and negotiate agreements to achieve successful partnerships.


Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Proven track record of successful sales in the finance or technology industry, with a focus on selling to the C-suite of mid-market to small enterprise businesses (five+ years of experience).
  • Strong understanding of our services, the competition in the industry, and effective positioning strategies.
  • Existing network of industry contacts to leverage in generating leads and closing deals.
  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field.
  • Self-directed, driven, and a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain a network of long-term relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen focus on priorities and goal setting.
  • Superior presentation skills, both written and verbal.
