1 in 5 students has a learning disability such as dyslexia, which makes it harder for them to read, spell and write--despite their intelligence. While receiving a proper evaluation for a learning disability could be the most impactful event in a student’s life, only 4% of students receive a diagnosis because of the high costs of evaluations and lack of access to qualified psychologists. Undiagnosed students are 3x more likely to drop out of high school, 5x more likely to be unemployed, and tend to experience elevated levels of anxiety and depression. It’s estimated that early diagnosis of dyslexia and other learning disabilities could save the US over 72 billion dollars of economic impact and drastically improve the lives of millions of people.

Marker Learning is on a mission to make learning disability (e.g. dyslexia) assessments and diagnosis easier and more affordable for schools and parents. By leveraging proprietary technology developed by leading experts at Johns Hopkins, the end-to-end evaluation is completed in half the time and at 1/10th the cost of typical in person evaluations. Marker Learning is seeking a Customer Success Manager to own and manage school district client relationships while creating a best-in-class experience that leads to Marker Learning offering high quality psychoeducational evaluations across the United States.

To help us achieve our mission, we are looking to hire a Customer Success Manager who has the ability to oversee the client lifecycle ensuring ongoing satisfaction while proactively identifying growth opportunities on existing contracts. This is a full time remote position that will report to our VP of Operations within our School Success team.


As a key member of our School Success team, here’s what you’ll do:


Key Outcomes:

  • Act as a point of contact for our clients’ day-to-day creating a best-in-class experience that leads to Marker Learning offering high quality psycho-educational evaluations in school districts around the country
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all inquiries from our school district clients while anticipating their needs, so that we as a team can offer a best-in-class experience
  • Seek continuous process improvement and streamlining of systems with an operations mindset
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Clinical Operations, Sales, and Recruiting to champion client priorities and share improvement opportunities
  • Proactively track and report on client data to identify gaps or opportunities for growth
  • Potential to travel to client sites up to twice monthly


The most important skills for the role are*:

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Customer Success, Account Management or other relevant client-facing roles
  • Communication: Highly collaborative, organized and able to present to a diverse audience
  • Analytical: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Scrappiness: You do whatever it takes to solve the problem. You’re not reliant on having perfect resources to unblock and are willing to explore multiple short-term solutions and see them through quickly
  • Organization & Planning: You plan and organize schedules in an efficient, productive manner while focusing on key priorities.
  • Proactivity: Ability to oversee the client lifecycle ensuring ongoing satisfaction while proactively identifying growth opportunities on existing contracts
  • Professional experience working in a startup environment at a B2B company

In addition to the above, it would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in health-tech or ed-tech

Compensation:

We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $80-90k annually. The exact salary will depend on (1) how many years of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role and (2) the internal level at which you are hired in relation to our career development framework. All full time team members also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
