The Position:
Digital Yalo is seeking a User Experience Designer to join our Tribe. The UX Designer will ground our solutions in fundamental experience design principles and create a fluid handoff with creative and development teams leveraging an iterative approach. The UXD is responsible for architecting user experiences for a variety of digital initiatives, including responsive and adaptive website design, portals, kiosks, mobile apps, CMS implementations, and eCommerce.
Job Responsibilities:
Obtain insights and a deep understanding of the users’ needs through research, journey mapping, persona/scenario development, heuristic evaluation, user/client observation, and usability testing
Develop wireframes, site maps, and rapid prototypes
Creation of IA and UX artifacts (site maps, user journey maps, process flows, personas, etc.) to guide the project vision
Conduct user research, competitive analysis, stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, and personas
Present strategy briefs and decks to clients, partners, and colleagues balanced with research insights to generate unique solutions for Yalo’s clients digital experience needs
Synthesize research and analysis into a strategic approach, while providing deliverables that include strategy briefs, roadmaps, and presentation decks
Effectively prioritize projects, manage tasks, and communicate with the project management team, delivering projects on time and on budget
Collaborate with our Developers and Designers to ensure the design and implementation of the experience meets requirements and business goals
Perform website or application audits and analyze data from various sources to provide insights on user behavior and identify recommended design changes
Play an active role in identifying future opportunities through recommended revisions or iterative improvements for later stages within an existing project scope
Who we are looking for:
At least 2 years experience working for an Advertising/Marketing agency
6+ years' experience in Interaction, Information & Visual Design for Business or Enterprise dashboards, and applications for desktop and mobile
Robust and diverse portfolio featuring user-centered design work with an emphasis on dashboards for data visualization, web, mobile & visual design
A passion for creating great user interfaces that solve real user problems while serving business needs
Solid grasp of user research, information architecture, content strategy, and usability principles, concepts, and techniques
Experience using UX tools for wireframing and prototyping, user research and testing, organizing information, analytics, and metrics
Experience implementing and creating user research and data collection plans for user experience testing and acceptance
Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills across organization-wide architectures
Ability to effectively communicate user experience data, design proposals, and influence at the highest levels of organizations
