About The Position
Join our team! The UpTeam Consultants is hiring for internal, commission-based, experienced Business Development Consultants. In this role, you will manage high-volume outbound calling and LinkedIn messaging to develop new customers needing recruiting services. As with all of our consultants, you must be passionate about what our company has to offer and truly believe in the vision we embrace. This excitement must come through on every call to guarantee that customers enjoy speaking to you and want to learn more about the company and brand.
Recruiting experience is not required as you will not be filling the jobs, but will instead connect interested companies with a Hiring Consultant. As a commission-based role, you will earn a percentage of each placement with that client who contracted with us from your communication, in perpetuity, as long as you remain active with the company. Responsibilities
Identify and target potential clients or customers through market research, networking, and other means
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals
Encourage customers to use our services by using a prepared script to reference important parts of what the company offers
Go off-script when necessary to answer any questions customers have which are not addressed in the script
Refer interested customers to the appropriate Hiring Consultant for more information
Update database with details of those customers who are interested in learning more
Follow organization standards to maintain quality service and guarantee that customers receive exceptional service
Boost morale by encouraging other sales representatives and adopting a team mentality
Share any suggestions as to changes to equipment or processes that will boost productivity and efficiency and cut back on wasted costs
Expectations
1+ years professional outbound telephone sales experience
Businesslike yet upbeat attitude
Self-starter, but not afraid to ask for assistance or guidance
Strong attention to detail
Experience with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
Understanding that the more connections you make, the more likely that you will be successful
Able to collaborate with the team with weekly participation in virtual team meetings
Commitment to the role (minimum 15 hours/week) with ongoing documented success
Experience in recruiting or human resources a plus

Job Type: 1099 Contractor, full or part time
Compensation: Commission-based
You will use your own computer and phone; company will provide a VoIP phone system/app

Schedule: Hours can be flexible but success will depend on connecting with businesses during business hours.
