LSI’s mission is to help our clients solve their most complex business, economic, and social challenges. We provide business development, economic development, and social impact contract support for our clients. LSI’s clientele include federal, state, and local entities and their contractors. We write hundreds of proposals for our clients each year. LSI is looking for 1099 Proposal Writers to support a myriad of large proposals.
- Incorporate the proposal capture strategy, customer must haves, and discriminators through the assigned sections
- Work closely with the Capture Manager, Proposal Managers, Volume Leads, SMEs, and functional departments as necessary
- Write sections in accordance with the proposal schedule, compliance matrix/proposal outline, and within the allocated page count
- Read the RDP and assure a clear understanding of all requirements
- Review all amendments and Q&As for impact to assigned proposal sections and incorporate changes as necessary
- Help prepare the annotated outline for the assigned proposal sections
- Help formulate graphics to support written content
- Work with SME resources to augment proposal content
- Maintain version control throughout RFP response lifecycle for assigned sections
- Review and adjudicate comments from reviewers
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Business or comparable
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing
- Excellent use of MS Office Suite, SharePoint and Teams
- In-depth understanding of compliance with all sections of governmental RFPs, experience analyzing RFPs, creating annotated outlines, writing new content, editing written content, and producing high quality proposals under tight deadlines
- Great written and verbal communication skills along with attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative skills in order to produce quality documents
- Flexible and open to changing schedules and priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes
- Able and willing to work extended hours to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules
- Working knowledge of Privia or other proposal collaboration software
