As a content marketing manager, you’ll be responsible for editorial leadership, content amplification, optimization, and editorial training and governance. You will develop the editorial strategies for select areas of focus in dedicated company divisions/brands. Using those strategies, you will produce the appropriate content and thought leadership – across multiple channels ¬– to help drive demand and growth throughout the marketing funnel. You will also work with other members of the Brand & Content team to develop campaign messaging maps and then apply cross-promotion opportunities. You will be empowered and supported by your teammates to help identify and create exceptional content and thought leadership that supports our editorial platforms – and be part of a best-in-class team of content producers. You will ensure your content output has maximum opportunity for performance, is aligned to brand messaging and adheres to business goals. Success metrics will be measured in traffic, leads and conversions.


What You'll Do


  • Manage editorial programs and develop a quarterly editorial calendar in collaboration with business owners, subject matter experts and channel experts
  • Deliver engaging content and thought leadership across a wide range of issues and formats, including articles, white papers, feature articles, infographics, pillar pages, video and podcast scripts, email communications and social posts
  • Identify and oversee internal writers, as well as freelancers or content agency; Collaborate cross-functionally with design and writing teams to produce high quality content as well as channel owners for content amplification
  • Engage with brand partners to ensure content output reflects Colibri brand standards and is aligned with overall editorial calendar and messaging pillars
  • Take a leadership role in multi-brand content initiatives – assess needs and resources, develop content strategy, and curate plans to execute against marketing plans
  • Edit, proofread and improve content
  • Content Amplification
  • Develop content amplification process to ensure content is shared through various channels, including website, social media, email, partner websites, and more
  • Identify opportunities to scale content assets across multiple brands
  • Project manage complex, content-driven, multi-channel, multi-brand initiatives
  • Analyze competitive insights and web traffic metrics to determine where optimizations are needed in content production
  • Engage in ongoing review and optimization of editorial calendar
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Make recommendations on content initiatives for core brands based on past performance and future goals
  • Receive customer feedback and generate ideas to increase customer engagement
  • Share ongoing learnings and processes across multiple brands within Colibri
  • Develop a flow for content approval from content producers across Colibri, both internally and externally
  • Manage other writers on team (FTE or contractor), ensuring adherence to brand standards, voice and tone, and audience insight

What You'll Need to Succeed


  • 5+ years of content marketing experience
  • Exceptional storyteller
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Strong experience exploring and developing high performing content
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • A strong understanding of storytelling in digital channels
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through execution
  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage your workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or communications highly preferred
  • At least five years of related work experience highly preferred.
