We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to build and execute robust content plans on Benevity’s owned social media channels that inspire, engage and grow our audiences. As part of the Content Marketing and Communications team, the Social Media Specialist will contribute to driving Benevity’s thought leadership and content marketing strategies to boost global awareness of the Benevity brand, elevate our profile as a category leader in corporate purpose and position our executives as industry thought leaders. What You'll Do


Monitor and manage Benevity's owned social media channels, including:


  • Working with the Content Marketing Manager to execute on Benevity’s organic social media strategy.
  • Planning, managing and delivering on a robust, rolling calendar of social media content that incorporates a mix of thought leadership, brand, employer brand and social impact content supporting Benevity’s overall narrative, including client and nonprofit stories.
  • Collaborating across teams to develop compelling content that aligns with the larger Marketing strategy.
  • Creating and sharing all social posts on Benevity’s organic channels.
  • Collaborating with the Brand team to evolve Benevity’s visual identity and voice on social.
  • Monitoring activity daily and managing responses on Benevity channels.
  • Monitoring relevant external social activity and Benevity mentions in the social-sphere – engaging with / sharing on Benevity channels.
  • Building out and executing on a partner, client and influencer engagement strategy.
  • Managing process for requests for social content from internal stakeholders.
  • Measuring, optimizing and delivering insights-driven analytics reports monthly and by project.


What You Will Bring


  • University degree in marketing, communications or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in building, executing and reporting on social media plans that drive brand engagement.
  • Understanding of the latest trends and practices in social marketing and how to leverage these for content discoverability and engagement.
  • Understanding of various content formats, their objective and how they connect to each other.
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how they consume it.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using social media tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Sprout Social, etc.)
  • Critical thinking and the ability to independently solve problems related to your role.
