This is a unique designer and user experience role. LearnPlatform by Instructure is building the largest and most useful evidence base across the K-12 and Higher Ed Industries, so educators, edtech providers, policymakers and investors can use the data to make decisions about teaching and learning that works for all students. And you will help to design the experience that facilitates interaction within and across organizations and helps them achieve their goals.

The Product Designer is a critical position on the LearnPlatform product team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality user experiences in alignment with our strategy and roadmap. The position offers an incredible growth opportunity for a motivated, creative, and organized individual who wants to have an immediate impact on a fast growing product serving the education technology space. You have a passion for combining seamless interaction with beautiful visual design. Your designs reflect the highest standard of usability and simplicity to the millions we serve.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working closely with the product and engineering teams to design amazing customer experiences based on user and implementation feedback.
• Managing significant and complex design projects from start to finish.
• Translating product and user requirements into storyboards, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Work with a rapid, iterative mindset, being open and flexible to changes based on user feedback and technical considerations.
• Designing, coordinating, conducting, and analyzing user research to inform design and UX decisions.
• Communicating design iterations with internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Using data and analytics to identify needs and measure impact of designs.
• Advocating for and implementing accessibility best practices throughout your designs.
• Use and contribute to a design system to create products with consistent interactions and a shared visual language.
• Finding opportunities to elevate the team by introducing new tools, processes and insights.
• Collaborating across design teams to ensure a cohesive and unified product experience.
  

• At least 3 years of experience in user experience at a high-growth SaaS company, edtech preferred
• Proven expertise in tackling challenging design questions, making you the go-to designer for complex problem-solving.
• A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions (visual and UX) on complex digital products
• Expert knowledge of Figma
• Experience with responsive web design
• A customer-focused mindset, self motivated, exceptionally detail-oriented
• Demonstrate a passion for delivering solutions in a timely manner, embracing a "get it done" attitude.
• Possess a track record of developing multiple options, remaining open to critique, and avoiding attachment to initial designs.
• Experience with agile methodologies and practices used to organize work and the team to deliver quick increments of value.
• Strong time management, communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams
• Nice to have: Experience with JIRA, Miro, Figjam, Pendo.
