What You'll Do:

As the Manager of Business Development in our Professional Services organization, your mission is to actively support increasing sales growth, and drive constant improvement in the hourly bill rate of our projects while actively performing the tasks of a member of the team. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to successfully hire, coach, and manage a team of Business Development Managers while driving demand generation, enablement, field sales, and sales strategy across the Billtrust Professional Services portfolio. This role requires heavy experience with a blend of sales, professional services, and customer relationship/interaction.

  • Create and maintain a collaborative work environment, set goals, give clear direction, mentor and provide decisive and positive feedback to members of his or her team, and empower individuals to take initiative and responsibility for their work
  • Facilitate the process of sizing and assigning resources to opportunity requests and to support sales during their execution
  • Develop and deploy your team appropriately to meet and address increasing opportunity demand
  • Monitor the team’s effort both on an individual and aggregate level, and ensure the team consistently produces high-quality results
  • Drive service sales by setting clearly defined expectations and negotiating service fees with our customers
  • Set prospect expectations early in the process and manage the project scope and contribute to the creation of the Statement of Work to handover to our Implementation teams
  • Apply subject matter expertise in the implementation of our solutions to educate and communicate our Professional Services offerings to our customers’ needs
  • Help own the positioning of the Professional Services Statements of Work and ensuring they reflect the reality of what the customer will get and what the customer has to contribute all while working with sales to insure the booking of new overall business
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Development, Professional Services, Consulting, Solutions and Sales Ops to manage leads and drive deal flow
  • Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues on the team
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect pipeline and services forecast data for your team
  • Provide feedback to Product, Professional Services and other teams for process and product improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • 4+ years managing and developing teams, including the establishment of performance and development goals, coaching, mentoring, and administering performance appraisals
  • 8+ years of proven success in selling Professional Services to VP and C-Level executives. Track record of exceeding quota
  • Software-as-a-Service experience; payments, AR, AP, ERP and/or FinTech experience a plus
  • Experience implementing SaaS solutions is a plus
  • Highly consultative sales style and a deep commitment to client satisfaction
  • Strong presentation skills, both in-person and on-line via webinar
  • Attentiveness to details and advanced listening skills
  • Continuous learner, technical curiosity, and an interest in the payments/AR ecosystem
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally, and work well within a distributed, team-oriented environment as well as coach and mentor others

SALARY RANGE BELOW FOR COLORADO BASED APPLICANTS ONLY

Target Base Compensation: $112,000.00 - $153,000.00 (Commission offered in addition to base compensation)

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
