What does a Content Manager at Interrupt Media do?
At Interrupt Media, Content Managers operate as client-facing representatives responsible for maintaining and facilitating the client relationship as it relates to content objectives.
Duties include strategizing, directing, and managing content campaigns, including email marketing and demand generation content, managing editorial calendars, contributing to content production when necessary, managing writers and owning the content budget for the accounts under your purview.
You will be expected to facilitate, delegate, manage, and report on the progress of your accounts weekly to the CEO. You will have support and training from the CEO.
Salary Range: $55-$70K
Key Responsibilities
Run a content audit and provide strategic recommendations for your accounts
Create and manage an editorial calendar for your accounts
Provide outlines or content briefs to the writers under your purview
Be willing to develop, write, and optimize engaging content, including blogs, white papers, email campaigns, social media content, press releases, and sales enablement materials if needed.
Review, edit and ensure all content produced by our writers meets our standards and achieves agreed-upon goals.
Coach writers that require training to improve their writing ability or to better adhere to messaging or best practices
Identify opportunities to improve, reuse, and refresh existing content that drives engagement
Manage the content budget for each of the clients under your purview and ensure that we stay on budget throughout the month
Report weekly to the Director of Content Marketing on progress for your accounts, and report monthly to the Director and CEO on all production across accounts
Experience And Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing a team of writers and editors
5+ years of content writing and editing experience
3+ years working in IT or a related field
2+ years working for a marketing agency
Experience researching and driving SEO content strategy and keyword use
Excitement about content marketing and a natural curiosity and to learn about various topics to better understand clients and contribute to their overall vision and goals
Demonstrated success in writing a variety of content
High attention to detail and passion for customer success
Experience developing content strategies and optimizing content across channels
Highly organized and creative self-starter with a desire to own projects
Excellent communication skills and prompt responsiveness during business hours
Ability to work cross-functionally, delegating, creating, reviewing, managing, and reporting on content
Experience working with project management tools and content development tools such as Clearscope, SurferSEO, Jasper, Pro-Writing Aid
