We are looking for a driven, creative, and passionate Senior Recruiter to partner closely with hiring managers to source and recruit for key roles, primarily within our US team, and occasionally within our UK team. Our Talent team is responsible for attracting and recruiting the best talent in order to build a world-class team here at Pelago.


While we would love for you to work with colleagues at times out of the NYC office, we are open to remote candidates within the US.


Responsibilities


  • Lead recruitment efforts for hiring across the organization at all levels for G&A, Sales, Marketing, Growth, Engineering, and Product functions
  • Participate in other recruitment efforts as needed across the business such as Care Team roles
  • Ownership of end-to-end recruitment life cycle from role kickoff, sourcing, screening, and scheduling to closing candidates
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting processes and protocols
  • Define and utilize innovative sourcing strategies to build strong and diverse talent pipelines and candidate slates for all roles
  • Deliver best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experiences through frequent, transparent, high touch communication
  • Ensure all interview processes and practices are equitable and inclusive
  • Identify gaps in talent processes and drive continuously improving them towards best practice, automation where possible, and efficiency
  • Develop a talent pool community by engaging with talent communities through social media, and promoting Pelago’s employee value proposition and compelling mission
  • Take a data-driven approach to recruiting, using data to drive the identification and elimination of bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Partner meaningfully with hiring managers to educate interviewers, stay aligned through all recruiting stages, and motivate exceptional hiring
  • Operate with industry expertise; consulting with internal partners on market trends, salary recommendations and talent availability
  • Execute Talent reporting by maintaining accurate and easy to digest data and metrics that tell a clear story, leveraging tech-savvy tools and systems
  • Lead and participate in talent-related projects

The background we are looking for


  • 3+ years experience and demonstrable track record of hiring top talent in high-performing and fast growth environments
  • Demonstrated track record of being able to deliver on hiring goals as an exceptional Recruiter for all levels of of hiring
  • Significant experience as a full cycle recruiter with a track record of hiring across multiple business functions
  • Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative when it comes to sourcing and finding outstanding talent
  • Demonstrated tenacity and resilience in challenging and ambiguous situations
  • Clear, effective communication which facilitates stellar collaboration across a variety of stakeholders (candidates, hiring managers, peers)
  • Independent ability to solve complex problems in a rapidly scaling organization
  • Strong operational skills with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
  • Data-driven with the ability to produce, analyze and use data to make smart decisions
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Lever) and other recruiting SaaS platforms and sourcing tools
