Description


This position will play a key role in the development and execution of brand identity and communications’ strategies in support of corporate goals, as well as representing the Company’s core values to a variety of stakeholders. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for research, coordination of content for social media platforms and the Deringer blog, and other marketing related materials. This role involves design of multi-media marketing material, customer research, and identifying market trends to assist in the development of new business.


This is a remote role for someone living in Vermont. Some travel will be required to the headquarters in Saint Albans, VT for team meetings, marketing opportunities, etc.


Job Responsibilities


  • Works with the marketing team and ghostwriters to plan website, blog, Intranet, webinars, social media, and newsletter content:
  • Blog Oversight (reviews, graphics, CTAs, SEO, Publishing quality and relevant content)
  • SEO Overview – Ensuring website is up to date on SEO duties
  • Webinars – Creating marketing material, ensuring speakers are well prepared and comfortable, ensuring a quality audience experience, following up with attendees.
  • Collaborate w/ HR – Helping set and ensure brand standards are being followed with internal documents. Helping setup HR’s online presence via popular online tools.
  • HTML/CSS – Redesigning the Deringer WordPress website t to ensure refreshing and exciting experience for everyone
  • Video Production – Internal & External
  • Creation of brand assets for digital ads, white papers, Calls to Action, guides, etc.
  • Cover letters, Gantt Charts, and more for prospect presentations
  • Cleaning & maintaining the Hubspot to ensure it is properly up to date


These duties involve developing communication strategies for multiple audiences that support our core brand identity.


Analyzes internal and external databases, import/export trade data and other economic indicators to determine target markets, prospects, and trade lanes.


Creates and manages various data files and lists to support direct marketing initiatives such as email contact lists for campaign efforts.


Generates reports, creates and analyzes reports based on requests from management personnel (e.g., prospecting lists for sales team, website and social analytics reporting).


Conduct customer, competitor and market condition research to evaluate and offer recommendations to drive top line growth.


Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and analyze marketing strategies to improve the Company’s competitive advantage.


Oversees the collection and evaluation of data from internal and external sources, industry experts to analyze market sizing, market conditions, segmentation, and industry trends.


Liaison between the company and external marketing partners (e.g., web partners, video agencies).


Manage projects and events under strict deadlines, within budget from start to finish.


Cross-trains In Additional Responsibilities.


Performs additional duties as assigned by management.


Travel


Travel up to 15% of the time; this includes required travel to the headquarters in Saint Albans, VT for team meetings, marketing opportunities, etc.


Education And Experience


Preferred: Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related, similar degree, or equivalent experience. Possesses two to five years of marketing experience.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with others. Possesses excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of products (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), database management, and ability to learn other software. Adobe Creative Suite and other design software experience is a plus. Content writing, social media marketing, Inbound marketing, and lead generation experience is desired. Highly detailed oriented, organized, with ability to multi-task. Strong orientation to customer service. Ability to handle a significant volume of detailed work under pressure. Self-starter able to perform well with limited supervision. Willing to sign a non-compete agreement. Knowledge of the import/export business a plus.
