About this role
In this vital role, you'll lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable infrastructure, using industry-leading technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform. Your expertise will drive performance, cost efficiency, and security, while fostering collaboration with development teams and mentorship within the team. From managing DNS services to enhancing CI/CD pipelines, your proactive approach and problem-solving skills will be key to our continuous innovation and growth.
As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure using industry best practices.
- Lead the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, including integrating a service mesh (e.g., Linkerd) for enhanced observability and communication.
- Drive AWS infrastructure architecture, optimizing for performance, cost efficiency, and security, utilizing services such as EC2, SQS, OpenSearch, EKS, SNS, and CloudFront.
- Utilize your expertise in DNS and Cache DNS services to ensure smooth and efficient network operations.
- Configure and maintain monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CirlceCI/GitLab Runner and ArgoCD for continuous deployment and GitOps.
- Leverage Ansible and Terraform for effective configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other infrastructure-related issues.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within our infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for infrastructure-related incidents and emergencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployment, and scaling, with knowledge of service mesh (e.g., Linkerd) implementation.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, SQS, OpenSearch, ElasticCache, MSK, EFS, EKS, SNS, and CloudFront.
- Deep understanding of DNS and Cache DNS services, ensuring seamless networking operations.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Solid grasp of CI/CD methodologies and tools, including GitLab Runner and ArgoCD for GitOps-based continuous deployment.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code practices using Ansible and Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
