This role will be responsible for researching and designing modern, clean and effective user experiences for our clients.
Work includes usability research, wireframes, design direction, prototypes, mockups and user testing. You would collaborate with our creative director, technical director and content strategists on meeting client needs and user goals.
Communication and collaboration are key. You need to be able to present design work to clients, and explain the logic behind your design decisions.
This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) with potential for full-time in the future (if desired). Must be based in US or Canada. No agencies, recruiters or overseas applicants.

Electric Citizen is a Minneapolis-based web agency, specializing in strategy and analysis, UX and design, web development and support. We focus on clients promoting the public greater good, such as higher ed, government, nonprofits, science and the arts–they are the “citizens” we serve.
Clients include large institutions such as Big 10 Universities, state and local government such as the State of Minnesota, and globally-renowned nonprofits like the Lions Clubs International and Graywolf Press.

- Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite
- Agency experience
