Responsibilities
- Programming Language Requirements and Software Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and tools specific to the AEC industry.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, Dynamo, or relevant technologies.
- AEC Domain Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of the AEC industry, including architectural, engineering, and construction processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with AEC team members to gather requirements and ensure software solutions meet their needs.
- Database Management:
- Create and manage databases to store and retrieve project-related data efficiently.
- Implement data modeling and database design best practices.
- User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX):
- Design user-friendly interfaces that optimize user workflows and improve user experience.
- Ensure the software adheres to industry-standard design principles.
- Integration:
- Integrate software solutions with existing AEC software tools and platforms.
- Develop APIs for seamless data exchange between different AEC applications.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of software to identify and fix bugs and issues.
- Implement testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Documentation:
- Create comprehensive documentation for software solutions, including user manuals and technical documentation for developers.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in collaborative discussions to gather feedback and continuously improve software solutions.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development and the AEC industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
- Proven experience in software development
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or others relevant to the AEC industry.
- Familiarity with AEC industry-specific software and tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM software).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with database management and design.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology trends and industry requirements.
