Amitech is seeking a .Net Developer (US: Remote) for long term consulting engagement. This is an internal project for our client in Little Rock, AR, so there may be occasional travel. The successful .Net Developer will work on a complex, and large, healthcare .NET web application used by thousands of users, performing enhancements, and bug fixing.
Your Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish
Objective #1:
Within your first 30 days, you will learn and begin to implement Amitech's standard of operations for developers:
- Learn and utilize the company's development environment and tools
- Review the codebase to understand the architecture and design patterns
- Meet with the team members to understand their roles, responsibilities, and workflows
- Participate in code reviews to learn more about the company's coding standards and best practices
- Attend team meetings to familiarize yourself on the current projects
Objective #2:
Within your first 60 days, you will successfully complete your first project:
- Take ownership of a small project (enhancements) and complete it successfully
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality code on time
- Participate in discussions about the architecture and design of upcoming projects
- Take the initiative to suggest improvements to existing systems or processes
Objective #3:
Within your first 90 days, you will work on a more advance project:
- Take on more complex and challenging projects, demonstrating increased proficiency and expertise
- Participate in discussions around system scalability, security, and performance
- Explore new technologies and tools that could benefit the team and company
- Take the initiative to suggest and lead new projects that could improve the company's products or processes
Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- Must currently reside within the United States
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications and enhancements.
- Responsible for bug fixes and enhancements
- Design, build, troubleshoot and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Strong knowledge of .NET web framework ASP.net
- Proficient in C# and/or VB.NET, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems
- Proficient in Agile Methodology
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Experience with Visual Studio 2015
- Experience with popular web application frameworks
- Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
- Experience with Telerik UI
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitHub
- 3-5 years relevant experience preferred
