What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced staff writer to join our team on a full-time basis (remote friendly). As a Mental Health Writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative articles that resonate with our target audience.
Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, well-researched, and SEO-optimized content that captures high-volume, high-intent web traffic
- Interview clinical experts and ensure that content is authoritative and approachable, with an emphasis on helping people regain their life from OCD
- Seamlessly collaborate with other content team members
- Independently manage production timelines for your articles while maintaining a high bar for editorial standards
- Use your skills as a writer to turn mental health jargon into digestible and engaging narratives
- Contribute to NOCD's ideation process using a data-driven sensibility
- Shepherd the brand's evolving tone and voice
- Uphold excellent copyediting skills with strong attention to details like spelling, grammar, and clarity
- Perform keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords into your writing
- Edit and proofread your own work to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Meet deadlines and adhere to our writing guidelines
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- 2+ years of experience in digital, editorial, and/or marketing content writing; familiarity with writing content that is readable and relevant to the user while also optimized for search
- Professional experience writing in the health/wellness/science field preferred
- Familiarity with SEO tools
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge/interest in issues surrounding mental health
