As a Senior Wordpress Developer, you will work with a diverse, remote team of highly skilled engineers, designers, project managers, product managers, and others to deliver high quality Wordpress sites that meet the needs of customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Wordpress websites and features.
- Develop custom Wordpress themes and plugins.
- Optimize Wordpress sites for performance and security.
- Stay up to date on the latest Wordpress trends and technologies.
- Write clean and well-documented code that adheres to software engineering best practices.
- Review code written by your fellow engineers in order to maintain a high level of quality and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in planning meetings associated with the software development process, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews and retros.
- Maintain and sometimes write user stories associated with sprint planning and execution.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively and often around progress, status, needs, issues, concerns, etc.
- Communicate with the customer when needed to provide status and address any questions or concerns.

- 5+ years of experience building Wordpress websites.
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP.
- Deep understanding of Wordpress architecture and best practices.
- Experience with WPEngine and other Wordpress platforms.
- Experience with the Agile development process.
