Summary:
The Cadmium team is looking for a demand generation focused Content Writer. This position is responsible for writing and editing copy to support internal and external marketing and communications programs. Projects will include sales collateral, action-oriented emails, advertising, Web/digital content, video scripts and newsletters. He/she will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs.
The Content Writer is a vital element in constructing a cohesive content strategy with a focus on user or consumer journey, persona development, and demand generation. Working with internal and external collaborators, you will also plan, oversee, and execute the strategy from start to end. You will also play the role of a creative and an editor, as you conceptualize and produce content assets that resonate with viewers across earned, owned, and paid platforms, with the aim of driving business goals. Although this is considered a remote position, the ideal candidate would be located near Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC. The travel requirement for this role would be less than 10%.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement content marketing strategies targeted at driving traffic, engagement, generating leads, delivering sales, retaining customers, and building brand awareness.
- Serve as company-wide copy resource in the development of marketing and communications materials.
- Produce high-quality articles, white papers, blogs, case studies, presentation content, product sheets, email, survey reports and web copy.
- Develop campaigns that align with the buyer's journey and create, test, and optimize our cadenced email, as well as A/B testing to increase the effectiveness of our messaging.
- Own all aspects of copy development: sourcing, writing, editing, fact-checking, proofing, and approvals.
- Ensure consistent brand voice across all content assets.
- Partner with the Director of Marketing and team to define and implement a complete brand and corporate content marketing strategy.
- Work with sales managers, marketing, and product managers to keep up to speed on business needs, brand messaging, marketing campaigns and the latest product enhancements. Coordinate with marketing and sales to maintain consistent messaging across all marketing content.
- Conduct ongoing, scheduled updates to our core messaging to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Research the latest trends and gather information on the industries we approach to better understand personas and what’s most important to them. Understand the nuances of messaging across multiple product lines.
- Publish marketing content to Marketing Automation Software (HubSpot)and proprietary platforms(such as myCadmium and Cadmium University), among other CMS and marketing systems.
- Own and manage lists, forms and workflows in HubSpot.
- Test and implement innovative and relevant methods of measuring content, campaigns, and tools, keeping in mind the purpose of the derived results.
- Track and advance the editorial calendar, and regularly measure and distill progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Marketing
- Expert knowledge of HubSpot
- Proven success in copywriting
- Must submit a portfolio of content and reporting examples.

- Strong persuasive writing skills with a successful track record in writing action-oriented sales copy that produces measurable results. Exceptional grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
- Outstanding planning skills and the ability to prioritize/complete multiple assignments concurrently.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with HubSpot CRM.
- Must be meticulous with attention to detail.
